P.S. 33, Garrod reports at 12 noon 26th. instant that while in charge of Police picquet and when opposite 111, Des Voeux Road Central several small stones were thrown at the picquet. Cannot say by whom or from whence they came. Apparently from upper floors in the vicinity (probably 107, 109, or 111, Des Voeux Road: I.P.C. struck but not hurt).

P.M.R. 27th. November:

The Indian Police Constables on special duty at "China Mail*

Offices and Hongkong Printing Press reported that at 5.30 p.m. 26th. a number of Chinese threw stones at them and ran away. No arrest could be made.

At about 8.15 p.m. 26th. instant P.0.3, Attewell arrested

a Chinese woman for disorderly conduct at corner of Wing Wo Street and Des Voeux Road Central. Crowd fol- -lowed headed by a "boy" from Hongkong Hotel who was shouting "throw stones". At corner of Pottinger Street P.C. Attewell called to a District Watchman and the Watchman arrested the Boy after a short chase.

P.M.R. 29th. November

At 1 p.m. on the 25th. instant P.S. 19, Browne arrested a man on the Parade Ground opposite the Yaumati Police Station. A crowd surrounded a man who wore a queue, the crowd wanted him to have his queue cut off but he objected: they then caught hold of him and one man who appeared to be the leader of the crowd carried a
